Character animation gives you complete control over the creation of a scene. However, when there are so many elements to consider, the most important part is to make decisions before you even begin animating. Simple actions such as the way a person falls are a series of complex poses best envisioned through quick sketches. Similar results come from the creation of thumbnails before jumping into a design.
